July 4th Weekend

For Independence Day, we took the family down to the waterfront to Zuanich Point during the day. The boys go to bed much too early to make it to the fireworks show. We hope to take Kellen next year, though. The night before, Kellen and Daddy camped out in the back yard--Kellen's first time sleeping in a tent (and outside of his crib!). He was so excited and of course, couldn't wait to use the flashlight :) It was a beautiful weekend and hot too for the Pacific Northwest. Here's some pictures from the weekend.

Braylen had too much excitement for one day!

Kellen got a shooting star painted on his face :)

It's been nearly too months since our last post. Since then, we have a new president leading this country and I pray he will lead us out of this horrible recession before it gets much worse! We've also added a new baby boy to our family! Braylen Drew Savage was born on January 8th at a whopping 8 lbs 13 ozs! What a little chunk! He is so cute with his triple chins:) Kellen is adjusting pretty well. He acts up when he starts craving more of our attention, otherwise, he loves his little brother and is surprisingly very gentle with him. I am still adjusting as a mother of two now. Some days are great and others not so easy, but it is so worth it! Jeff is still working hard at Walton Beverage selling Pepsi products. He is their no. 1 salesman and we are so proud of him! He has also started a home-based internet business on the side in order to bring in extra income with the hope that I'll be able to stay home with our two boys (I'm on maternity leave until May). I hope to help him with the business once my life becomes a little more managable:) Check out the website http://www.savvyproducts.wwdb.biz/.

We had a fantastic Christmas this year! Kellen was so much fun to watch as he opened presents and really enjoyed his gifts. He especially loved his tractor from Grandma and Grandpa Stuckey, his Lightning McQueen car from Gigi and Papa (these are names he has chosen for Grandma and Grandpa Savage), and his tool bench from Santa.

It was a White Christmas for us this year! It was quite beautiful despite having been trapped inside our home for days leading up to Christmas. Papa dug out their old sled and brought it to Bellingham so Kellen could go sledding around our neighborhood. Kellen loved it, though I think Jeff and Papa might have had the most fun!!

We feel we have been truly blessed with a wonderful family and friends! We welcome 2009 and look forward to adding Braylen to our family. Have a very Happy New Year!

Waiting...Still Waiting

I am due any day to have our second child. He's due on January 1st, but we're hoping, or should I say, I've been madly praying he'll come early! I had contractions a few nights ago, got really excited, then they stopped. I think that was a cruel joke on God's part!

Kellen is more fun than ever these days. His vocabulary is expanding every day. He loves to repeat words we say, so we now have to start the spelling game. Some of our favorite words Kellen likes to say are: nuts!, Uh oh, gose (gross), ouch, ite bock (right back?), noo noo (no no!), snew (snow), muck (milk), nack (snack), and fog (frog). I've been trying to prepare him for his baby brother by showing him my belly and telling him about the baby inside. In response, it's become a game that he picks up my shirt, pokes at my belly, hugs and kisses it, then slapps it! If you ask him where the baby is, he will hunt me down and insist on pulling my shirt up...what a hoot!

Have a Merry Christmas--love Jeff, Heather, Kellen and Baby Savage!!!!

Happy Birthday, Grandma Stuckey

Today is Grandma Stuckey's birthday! We won't mention your age though, Grandma. Kellen wanted to say, Hi--We miss you!
